The strong bold red, the nature lover’s green, the fiercely passionate purple or the soft, subtle pink – different women with different personalities love different colors. Mia by Tanishq, urges working women to embrace their love for colors, be confident with their femininity and the jewelry that they wear. Mia wants to answer a question working women often ask themselves when it comes to jewelry – is it suitable for work?

Women are often dilemmatic about the jewelry they wear to work. They want it to blend with their attire but not to be distracting and take the attention away from their work. They want to mix and match colors in their jewelry but shy away from artificial accessories at work. To top that, the perception challenge that women putting in effort to look good and wearing ornate jewelry to work may lack substance, adds to that dilemma.

Mia wants to change this for working women with the minimalistic design and with a colorful tinge to jewelry choices and in turn to their work environments. It encourages, inspires & embellishes all those bold jewels that step up and change the world. HerStory champions stories of passionate women working in diverse fields, coming from different walks of life and shaping the world in their own ways. These women believe in themselves. They are professional, efficient, presentable and confident. They are fun, quirky and bold too. They don’t believe in boundaries and are always expanding their limits.

In the wake of this new initiative by Mia to redefine the contemporary work wear jewelry for women, HerStory has partnered with Mia to showcase the stories of strong, independent women carving their own paths, writing their life stories and inspiring other women to be who they are, no matter what.

Over the coming 4 weeks, we will bring to you stories of 8 such women change makers from different walks of professional life. They are the simple, elegant, free-spirited and inspirational working women – they are the Mia women.
